Research

The Institute is a research institution and a graduate school of higher education. Our priorities are to produce and disseminate knowledge to contribute to progress among the global scientific community, enrich the study of global challenges, and offer international actors useful analyses for the resolution of contemporary international problems.

Research is conducted by faculty working in a personal capacity or as part of projects in collaboration with colleagues from other academic institutions in Switzerland and throughout the world. Research is also undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams from the Institute’s Centres and Programmes whose mission is to research priority themes decided by the Foundation Board and to make a valuable contribution to important contemporary challenges.
